Education

The educational aspect of the Club has been conducted through monthly clinics held at a local hobby shop.  This has met with limited success as training space is limited and the range of subjects covered is restricted by location.  Public response has been positive and we increased the number of clinics this past season.  We intend to increase the frequency and scope of clinics at the Station Avenue location.

The opportunity to demonstrate detailed construction, wiring, and scenery techniques during the reconstruction of the layout would provide a much-improved training environment.  These sessions would be incorporated in a monthly open house program or offered as separate opportunities.

Initially we would separate the clinic and open house sessions, however the sessions would probably be offered at different times during the same day or weekend.  Public response would be gauged to determine the optimum frequency.
